nbtx.ai is the AI concierge for New Braunfels, Texas. Visitors and locals ask it about restaurants, events, the river, Gruene Hall, festivals, anything — it answers with real-time search, maps, and place cards.

It's a small, independent project built for the New Braunfels community. No campaigns, no committees, no political endorsements. Just useful local information.

how it works

Conversations run through Anthropic's Claude API. The agent uses real-time web search (SerpAPI), OpenStreetMap-based place lookups, weather data from open-meteo, and a long-term memory layer that learns about the town over time.

The voter helper layers in OpenAI for fallback Q&A, Twilio for the share-by-text button, and AgentMail for the share-by-email link. Polling location data is curated locally and verified against the Comal County Elections Office.
